Since 2011, Teaneck Surgical Center has been “giving back” to the local community by making financial contributions to those families or individuals who are in need of relief or assistance. We believe that it’s our social responsibility as a healthcare and wellness facility to support the local community by the gift of giving, each and every season.
TSC was a proud participant of Adopt-a-Family (AAF), a Salvation Army program that helps impoverished families during Christmas. During the week before Christmas, we adopted a local family of four and fulfilled their “wish list” by providing them with toys, clothing, household items and food. Our charitable efforts made the holiday season a special and memorable time for both, the TSC staff and our adopted family.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, TSC donated over 50 unwrapped toys to local families, bringing smiles to many happy kids who were displaced by the storm. Toys of all kinds were donated for children of all ages, including teddy bears, action figures, skateboards, crafts supplies, soccer balls, and puzzles. By generously contributing to the toy drive, TSC helped brighten the holidays for storm victims amid recovery efforts.
